Endless Darkness is one of the eight available Instant Dungeons. It has a level requirement of 40, and is unique among other dungeons, as instead of the usual formula of 2 mini bosses & 1 boss, this dungeon is a series of 5 progressively more difficult boss fights.
Once you enter the dungeon, speak with Warrior's Soul to begin the first boss fight. Each stage of this dungeon can be activated by destroying the
Darkness Crystal in the center of each room.
You are rewarded based on how many bosses you have defeated, although if you start a boss fight, but are unable to defeat it in the given time, you won't receive any rewards for the dungeon.
For example:
If you were to defeat
Sorrowful Darkness and then choose to leave the dungeon before facing
Harsh Darkness, you would receive a
Dungeon Treasure 46.
If you were to face off against
Harsh Darkness, and lose, you would receive nothing.
Strategy[]
Team Compilation
Never enter Endless with 2 warriors as bosses hit all nearby targets; the mage will have difficulty healing both of them. Either have 1 high DPS ranger and 2 mages or 2 moderate DPS rangers and 1 mage that is capable of spam healing. The warrior is not as significant and plays the easiest role. The ideal team compilation changes based on which boss you plan to go to:
- First/Second Boss: Any combination works (all mages, multiple warriors, etc.) as long as all players have good weapons
- Third Boss: Ideally 2 mages, 1 ranger, 1 warrior
- Fourth Boss: Ideally 2 rangers, 1 mage, 1 warrior
- Fifth Boss: Virtually unclearable without 2 mages, 1 ranger, and 1 warrior.
Note: All bosses are capable of attacking multiple players if they stand close, so party members should distance themselves from one another.
Deep Darkness
Lvl. 42
The first boss requires high HR. As the battle progresses, it will be more difficult to hit the boss, even if you are several levels higher. You also deal progressively less damage. The first spell is Darkness Strike (CD ~5 min.), which is a one-shot spell to the person with aggro. The rangers should control their DPS until the boss casts the spell, after which the warrior casts Last Resistance. The other 2 spells are unavoidable, but not particularly dangerous:
- Darkness Fire: A hellfire attack fixed on 2 players that deals damage proportional to HP
- Darkness Power: A non-damaging spell that increases the boss's armor, fire resistance, and the required HR to damage it. At 5 minutes, it enters rage mode, which indicates it will be slightly harder to hit
Note: This boss is only difficult for low level parties. If it is defeated with ~3 minutes remaining, it should be safe to proceed to the next boss.

Burning Darkness
Lvl. 44
This boss requires players to use more spells. It starts with Roar, so the party members should keep their distance initially.
- Roar: Fears and deals high damage to all players. Warrior tanks and uses Shout of Calmness after Roar is cast. Other players move a 0.8 screen radius away
- Dragon Rage: Deals extra damage to the target. Both Ensnare and Drowsiness will remove the effect
- Flame Reflection: Reflects all damage for ~2.5 seconds. Use Stun
Note: Refrain from hitting after the boss uses reflection in case the mage misses stun. The boss can resist stun on low level mages. In the case stun is missed, it is difficult to see when the skill ends as the boss instantly casts another spell after reflection. In that case, wait until the proceeding spell has finished before attacking.

Sorrowful Darkness
Lvl. 46
The third boss is significantly more difficult as its spells are more dangerous. It only targets the closest player, but teleports to all players who hit it. The first spell is This is the End and will require the warrior to cast Last Resistance. This spell only occurs once. It is imperative that the mage has Cure Poison
- Rage: Poisons and roots 2 players for 40 damage per tick. Cast Cure Poison
- This is the End: Deals massive damage to target. Cast Last Resistance
- Remain Silent: Silences all nearby players. Cast Impact Shot while the boss is chanting
- Fade Away: Places a time bomb on the target that deals 100 damage (500 if nearby). No mitigation
- The Scent of Death: Teleports to ranger. Ranger walks away. Warrior walks to boss
- Hatred to All: Teleports to magician. Magician walks away. Warrior walks to boss

Harsh Darkness
Lvl. 48
Unlike the previous bosses, this one has a 30-minute timer. The main issue is that it summons mini-bosses with HP comparable to the Maze of Forest mini-bosses. By the time the ranger kills it, the boss will have summoned another one. Ignoring the summons is an option, but the warrior will receive progressively more damage and the mage(s) will be unable to out-heal the damage. Another issue with ignoring summons is that it will be difficult for the ranger to target all the summons to cancel Frenzy. If there are 2 rangers, they should both destroy the summons, otherwise the warrior will have to sweep and once they start to lose health, the ranger will destroy the weakened summons.
This boss is known to target the closest player, but if this player dies, it will lock onto the player that has dealt the most damage. The same applies if the closest player has dealt significantly lower damage than the ranger. This can happen if the warrior chooses to destroy mini-bosses while the ranger targets the boss; the boss will target the ranger instead.
- Snowstorm: Damages all players for low damage. No mitigation
- Cure: Recovers 1000 or 2000 HP to itself and all summons. Cast Stun
- Summon Snowman: Summons a high HP summon that deals low damage to the player that deals the most damage to it
- Frenzy: Boss buffs itself and all summons with increased damage and critical rate. Cast Weakness on all targets
Note: Though 30 minutes are given, this boss is clearable within 12 minutes.

Endless Darkness
Lvl. 50
The fifth boss should only be attempted with a lv47+ ranger and at least one lv48+ mage. The time will vary based on how quickly the other bosses were defeated (as Endless Darkness has a 1 hour timer). There will be about 30 minutes to defeat it with a party of 2 mages, 1 ranger, and 1 warrior. It will be difficult to clear it with a party consisting of 2 rangers as it deals high damage to all players.
- It's Cracking: 70 damage per tick to all players over 12 seconds (350 damage total) [CD: 30 sec.]
- The door is opening damages all players for 25% of their total HP then fears for 3 seconds [CD: 60 sec.]
- Darkness Cure: Heals 50K or 100K HP, mages use stun [CD: 40 sec.]
- This is Not the End: Doubles damage on auto attacks (Activates at 50% HP)

Techniques[]
Resetting Aggro
The objective is for the warrior to maintain aggro as they can tank more damage. When the ranger takes aggro, there are multiple ways to remove it (from easy to difficult):
- As soon as they start taking damage, stop hitting, let the warrior regain aggro, then walk 1 screen out of range and come back
- Drowsiness and Ensnare the boss then flee and come back
- Wait for the boss to cast a spell and instantly shift and flee then come back
- Time the boss's auto attack exactly and shift then flee and come back
- Log out and relog
- Lag walk lure the boss away then come back
Timing Skills
The warrior should inform their party when the next fear or one-shot spell is, based on the cooldowns of Shout of Calmness and Last Resistance. This gives the team time to respond by either backing off or resetting aggro
